“I purchased my first Bullmastiff in May of 1974. She was full sister to Ch. Stonykills Naughty Angelina, who was sired by Ch. Pocantico's Plameses Bruno — my first love. I was born and raised in New York City and I feel I was very fortunate to grow up around some of the best breeders in the country. I met Dick Cannone, who became my mentor and one of my best friends. I went on to register my first litter in the early eighties and based my breeding program around BIS Ch. Roleki's Sampson of Waterbury (“ROM”) who was one of the first Bullmastiffs to win a Best In Show. Another one of my all time favorite dogs was Ch. Charley Hexam, bred by Marge Triggs. Both of these dogs had strong Pocantico bloodlines.”

One of our prouder moments when Ch. Banuffs Warrior of Tru Grit won the 8-10 year veteran class at the 1992 ABA National Specialty.
In this fun match (November 1975) in Rockland Co. NY, Best Adult in match was Lord Nelson, bred and handled by Dick Cannone. I was very fortunate to have this great friend and breeder as my mentor.
